Why my IP is blacklisted?
Except spamming, the following popular reasons for blacklisting IP are:
- Virus activity. You have to check if there are any viruses operating at your computer. It could be done by downloading, installing and running an antivirus software. For example, you can use such free tools as "avast! antivirus" or "Avira antivirus", or choose another suitable for you tool to perform a virus check.
- ISP reported its dynamic IP pools to prevent dangerous activity from its clients. In this case, ISPs usually provides their own SMTP server to send an outgoing email and control spam flow by them. If you need to act differently from your computer, you need to contact your Internet provider for available options.
- Computer with given IP-address is exploitable. It means that someone is reported a computer, behind the given IP-address, as an exploitable and potentially unsafe, means it could be easily hacked and used by violators.
- Other reasons. There could be other reasons for listing an IP address. In this case, you need to follow DNSBL website and investigate the reason of listing yourself.
