Traceroute IP address
Traceroute shows through what hosts are the packets on the network pass to the specified IP address. You can trace paths from this server to the specified IP address. By default, you can measure how far received packages from this server, to your computer.

If you want to trace from your computer to a target host or IP follow these steps:

If you are using Windows
- Go to «Start» —> «Run»
- Type "cmd"
- Press <Enter>
- Type in command line "tracert [ip_addr]", where [ip_addr] is an IP address or hostname to traceroute.
OR
- Install Smart IP Toolbar and use it to run this command directly from your browser.

If you are using UNIX-family OS
- Open terminal
- Type in command line "traceroute [ip_addr]", where [ip_addr] is an IP address or hostname to traceroute.
