MapleSim 4 - New Product From Maplesoft

11 June 2010 | Go Back
The new version of the popular program of modeling and simulation tools added to the three-dimensional modeling, which greatly simplify the design models consisting of many bodies. In addition, new flexible testing tools, new algorithms, new components and improved interface will allow users to quickly develop complex models.

MapleSim 4 - key features:

3D-design. MapleSim 4 would see on the screen three-dimensional models consisting of many bodies. Three-dimensional images of models are created dynamically, so that the user instantly receives a realistic picture. The user can set the angles and options directly on the three-dimensional model and instantly see the result. You can also add elements of bodies on the three-dimensional image, and the module will automatically be added to the chart model.

  • Testing Tools. New testing tools provide greater flexibility for the organization of the measuring devices and testing parameters:

    • You can add a new measurement device in the diagram and apply them to the stored results of the simulation. This means that you can observe the behavior previously not measured parameters without the need to re-run the simulation.
    • It is now easy to observe, where are all the measuring devices on the charts, including the subsystem.

  • New algorithms:

    • New algorithm Cash-Karp provides better integration of stiff systems than the previously used rkf45.
    • New algorithm ck45 now used by default for all simulations. Other algorithms can be easily selected from the drop-down menu.

  • New components:

    • Electrical Machines Library now includes new components for the stepper motors used in control mechanisms.
    • New components of the vector operations in the Signal Blocks Library greatly simplify the work with multiple parallel signals.

  • Improved user interface:

    • New Project Manager tool automatically organizes additions and subsystems.
    • Subsystems can now be designated as common or autonomous, so that you can control any subsystem can be used repeatedly.
    • The new diagnostic panel identifies potential problems models, such as the lack of connections or the presence of identical subsystems, and offers simple ways to eliminate these problems.
